How many trading opportunities can you expect?
The trading opportunities identified by the Hurst cycles online system are based upon the interaction between price and the 20-day cycle FLD. In each 80-day cycle, there are 8 interactions, categorized from A to H. Note that the average length of an 80-day cycle is actually 68 days (this is Hurst’s Nominal Model – download our starter pack for more information about this).

Usually, you would not trade a category B or category G interaction (this is explained in the Hurst Signals Training Course).

Therefore in every 68 days, there are usually 6 interactions which provide trading opportunities. In round figures, let’s say:

1 Trading opportunity, per instrument, every 10 days, or
2 to 3 trading opportunities, per instrument, per month.
Not all trading opportunities are equal. As a discretionary trading system, each trading opportunity must be considered on its own merits, and combined with your knowledge and experience to identify the trading opportunities that suit your trading style.

For this reason we recommend choosing a portfolio with more instruments so that you can choose the best opportunities across a broad range of instruments.
